We have been involved
in dogs for over thirty years, starting with a crossbreed
and a rescued dog. We were introduced to obedience and acquired
our first obedience dog, a Border Collie called Bryn. Bryn
went on to excel in agility and flyball and was soon joined
by our first Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Tizzie.
It was at an agility competition about
four years ago that we saw our first Spanish Water Dogs
and were very impressed by their speed and agility. This
led to a lot of research before we acquired our bitch,
Squiffy. We now have two Polish Lowlands, two Spanish
Water Dogs and of course, our veteran Border Collie.
ESTRELLANA
Our first litter of Spanish Water Dogs was born at the
beginning of 2003 and is the first litter to carry the
affix and hence forms the foundation of my line.
BREEDING
My aim is to produce quality puppies that are typical
of breed, displaying the characteristic working attributes
of their ancestors from Spain. By careful selection of
mates I hope to combine the best of the lines from Southern
Spain with those from the north. Puppies will occasionally
be available but will be sold first and foremost as family
pets. Puppies will not be sold as 'working dogs' or 'show
quality' but any participation in these fields will be
encouraged. Each puppy will go with a contract to safeguard
its future and any restrictions on use for breeding may
be lifted provided the owner satifies certain criteria.
